Forensic Science

The Premier Forensic Group has been providing Arizona private autopsies for over 40 years. Unlike other Phoenix private autopsyproviders, we have a team of forensic scientists who assist in the investigation to determine if law enforcement "got it right" when they determined the cause of death to be suicide. Medical examiners and private pathologists are unable to make that determination, but we can! A private autopsy can answer many questions concerning the manner and cause of death. We can assist in putting the puzzle together not only by conducting private autopsy, but obtaining copies of all hospitalization and medical records. Prior to the private autopsy, our representative will meet with the family to determine their primary concerns regarding the deceased.

When a suicide private autopsy is requested by family members they are not told that the private pathologist is not trained to test the hands for gun shot residue, or whether they are trained to go in the field and examine the scene of death using IR/UV crime scene analysis and other chemical methods to determine the presence of blood and trace evidence. We can interview witnesses, examine computer hard drives and cell phones for physical evidence as part of our death investigation. Our suicide investigation team can administer polygraph and voice analysis when requested. Our forensic scientists work hand in hand with our experienced and highly qualified forensic pathologist during and post autopsy.

If a client has a death other than suicide, we also can help with a comprehensive death investigation. We can determine cause of death in suspected medical malpractice through private autopsy. We can assist in obtaining medical records, identifying medical personnel who can have information to support malpractice. Our executive director has a doctoral degree in criminology, is a former investigator for the Chicago Police Department, and is a former US Army Counterintelligence Special Agent with over 45 years of continuous experience. He has attended hundreds of autopsies and has assisted in retrieving physical evidence during postmortem examination.
